Hi,
I have a canon 1000d, about 2 years old. For some reason the picture quality seems to be stuck on 72dpi when they're transferred onto my computer :/ I'm gutted! They're all rubbish quality when it comes to printing them and I have a deadline at Uni this week.. lol.

I can't find any setting on the camera, and I transfer them using EOS utility and Photoshop.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Sarah

that seems very unusual.... what image settings have you got set on camera?

how are you transferring the images to your computer?

I know I can't work it out. Literally 1 month ago it was fine, I haven't touched any of the settings and they're all coming out awful now :/

Umm the settings on the camera itself are default, and I just connect it via a USB cable.
I was getting 'error message 99' occasionally when shooting which I've read can be a huge variety of things, so I don't know if it's a battery problem? seems unlikely to me, although I don't know much haha.

72 dpi is normal jpg quality. Raw will be 240 dpi.
