im getting there but took some time out so ill have to spam more now :p
i mean do constructive posts :D ;)

Ask Matt, I'm sure he'll give you some pointers on how to arrive at the magical realm of SPAMALOT!

I won't congratulate you 33L, cos i share the same viewpoint as another user posted a while back, which is these self congratulatory woop woop i posted xxx thousand posts now are just plain annoying. (I'm sure some don't see it that way though).

In Matt's case if you have been following his postings, an awful lot, probably well over 50% are simply him saying thank you or posting a smiley to respond to someone who has commented on his original post. (nothing personal Matt, just an observation).

Personally I prefer quality over quantity. That's why i will often read matt's initial posting and not follow up his subsequent ones cos they are most likely just a number of thank you's. Again, not a personal comment, just using Matt cos he's a prolific poster and good example of this.

That said, I do acknowledge the contribution your postings have made to this forum and myself, and I hope to enjoy many more you make in the future.

But PLEASE, don't join the woop woop xxx thousand posts brigade :D

I'm getting off my soap box and going back to reading the forum now, hopefully I won't get blasted for airing my opinion ;) :exit:

hepburn, that's far too many words. You could have posted 50 of these: :D and these:  as separate posts in that time and bumped up you post count significantly.

But then I'd have to change my name to something like... erm... Matt? :D

I am wanting pewople to know there comments are being listened to and understood. Where is the harm in that? I could be a lot worse, at least I know how to use the multi qoute thingy ma bob :)

That's very sincere of you Matt, though please don't change - we need a resident loony toon like you :bonk:

Glad to hear it Matt :) As I said, it's nothing personal and i often read your first post in any thread but rarely go back to the thread if I see a subsequent post by yourself as I quess, often correctly, it's a thank you post. Can I suggest you use the edit button more often too?

We're all guilty of not using multi quote and edit options, me included, so seeing them used more often would be a good thing eh? :)

ps: You're to be commended for your politeness in thanking people for their comments, so don't think otherwise. Just wait a bit and stick in one big thank you post after a day or so instead of after every other post :D

Couldn't resist it Jon.:D

woop woop 236 posts! Wooya!

:D

It's a good job posts in this forum don't count to the total ortherwise you'd be at 1000 too :D

Does anyone know if there is a league table on here of who has posted the most, perhaps even a league table of average words per post (to eliminate the spammers among us) ;)

If they did i suspect i'd be well past 5000 by now. Fortunately I now have a multitude of ways to spar with BeHappy so that has cut down the number of unofficial posts too.
