Dunno, not much more to it than that... but I am pleased! :lol:

Been on Flickr about 18 months, and today passed the 100k mark in total views on my photos/stream, which I am pleased about! :eek:

Congratulations, I am 43,260 views of which 31,200 views have come since the 1st of Jan, I have a bet running with a fellow photographer about racking up 150,000 views for the year ;)

Well at my current rate of 14,000 in almost 4 years I'll be stone cold dead before I get to 100,000 :lol:
I have got 1 picture needing just 12 hits more to reach 1000 though :)

Congrats Ash :thumbs: I'm on about 134,000 and on the 25th (ish) it will be two years since I uploaded my first pic for sharing :) ..... Them water drops certainly pull in the hits :cool:
 
Really well done, this is reminding me i shouldnt be lazy with so much pictures sleeping in my computer!

How do you guys get so many views? I joined in August 2009 and I'm currently on 3157 views, and I thought that was good :'( . Admittedly I don't join in with many conversations on flickr, or anywhere else really :lol:, but still :eek:.

For me it is a combination of a few factors:
• This year I am doing a 365, that seems to pull in a decent number of views.
• I have a lot more contacts now that I did 6 months ago and it is also partly was I shoot.
• With the help of some of the TP sports photographers I am learning sports photography my rugby photos receive a lot of hits.
• But I have found there is also a lot of interest in things like cars etc I have 5/6 nice shots of some G4 land rovers that get hits on a daily basis.
• Finally I have my light trails, these get daily hits partly because I am in so many groups and because I am one of the more active light trail photographers.

I think that there is no defined reason for lots of hits, I do find myself wondering how some photos get so many hits.

I did see a photo recently that had 15,000 hits and it was utter rubbish IMO off course but it was OOF and picsalated or a very very heavy crop *shrug*

Nice on Splog! They do indeed... that's where most of mine have come from, but pleasingly more and more are coming from non-droplet stuff now :)

Ah nice! I agree 100% about shots I wouldn't call my best getting loads, and others I like getting none! lol

I just realised that I was only looking at photostream views. Overall I'm just under 17000.

See, this is why I don't post much in forums/flickr, I'm usually wrong in what I say. :lol: :'( :help:

I swear you're actually the copper who changes the film in the GATSOs - no one can take that many shots of traffic without having another reason to be there!!!!:lol::lol::lol:

Just a bit of a bump after searching around.

I passed 100,000 views back at the end of June and was just wondering how you guys are doing views wise now?

Had a look today and I have 126,592 views which is a bit of an increase from less than 20k at the start of 2011!

Are you on for the 150k yet, Matt?
 
I'm just around 20K views, but sadly most of those views are as a result of the death of somebody who's photo is in my photostream :(

Other than that I get around 1 or 2 views a week.

51 on explore, was getting on with near enough every upload at one point, but nothing since june last year.. no great loss really as get sick of finding my previous explored ones all over tumblr and we 'heart' it blogs..
