after countless hours searching the net for best prices i finally decided to order my new tripod today - thank you santa :)
rgb-tech.co.uk selling the manfrotto 055xb xmas kit with the 804rc2 head and 102 strap for 134.49 delivered (please dont tell me i could have got it cheaper elsewhere..)
was actually planing on something with a 190 series legs but saw this deal and decided to go for it.
the head has a mini bubble level built in so hopefully no more wonky images :D

i posted about this offer the other day, i live close to RGB and buy all my stuff from there, they usually have the best prices - eg, they have the sigma 18-50 F/2.8 for £257, that's £12 cheaper than warehouse express, and they pricematch too, i got a lowepro mini trekker that they had for £84 for £69.99 the other day. I cannot recommend them enough. And that tripod / head offer cannot be beaten - end of.

Andyt, :wave:bought mine last year on a similar deal (£153) from a local independant so you got a good deal there. The kit is great, very sturdy which was just what I wanted to replace my 25 year old `Slik` cheapo tripod. Only down side is carrying it but you won't be disappointed wit it.

it's almost opposite the bus station the road it's on has binns on one side and debenhams on the other side
