I went into jessops and didn't like the 1100d nor the d3100 so in the end went with a new 650d with lens kit for £540 but I've just seen some reviews rating the Nikon d5100 to be a better camera and I've just checked the prices and for 2x lens plus sd card and d5100 is £2 more than what I paid...

Thanks for your feedback, I'm from Bath nr Bristol. I've just one question buying a 2nd hand camera, for a canon 7D there's 2nd hand ones which shutter shots of 4,500 to 15,000 what's classed as a high usage and should I ignore the 7d over a certain number or does it not really matter?

After looking up the reviews, I'm going to buy for the canon 7D. there's a few on ebay for £480 - £1,000 with lens. I could even hold off for a month and get the lens next month and just the camera this month, I think if I was to go for the 600d I would regret it.
