In Lightroom I always use slider values in multiples of 5, except on the tone curve ones? I do the ISO one as well and the lens cap.....

    Photography Magazines

Black and White Photography, N-Photo and Outdoor Photography, I subscribe to all 3 via iPad, I think when this years N-Photo runs out I may not repeat it but the other 2 are worthwhile. B&W is definitely my favorite, it can sometimes be a bit arty and pretentious but it is always inspiring and...

    The new version of Flickr

    Santa Pod raceway

Top Tip: Try to frame shots of the racing to included the christmas tree (start lights) not for any photographic reason other than you can watch the lights and press the shutter as the last yellow goes out. If you wait till the car moves or the light goes green you will end up with a lot of rear...

    Help understanding PP

Hi all, So after a few years hanging round the film end of the forum I finally upgraded to a Nikon D600 over Christmas. Which means I have now entered the world of white balance, RAW and digital workflows. Previously my PP work was mostly scan, crop, dust removal and maybe contrast or colour...

    Another use for an iPhone.

yeah took me a while to get it right!! The scans came out looking a bit flat but a quick run through Aperture sorted that out, certainly no more than I would have done for any other scan.

    Another use for an iPhone.

It was a Canon Lide 30, only goes up to 1200dpi. The flash light app turns the phone screen white and you can adjust the brightness so I just put the neg on the scanner and the phone face down directly on top.

    Another use for an iPhone.

I picked up a Lubitel 166u last week despite having never used 120 before or having any way of digitising the images. Having successfully shot and developed my first roll I really wanted to scan them. So dug out an old flatbed scanner and tried to find out if it could be modified to scan...
