I've dusted my camera off and I'm looking for a new lens, would it be possible to reinstate my access please? I wasn't a prolific poster in the past but the forum was invaluable for learning from others.
That would be a definite yes but I hadn't used the kit lens for a very long time so wasn't swapping like for like. The ability to use 2.8 throughout the zoom range just wins everytime although the extra stops with IS put a different slant on it. I find the AF 'fine'
Recently bought the Tammy 2.8 and image quality wise, to me it's like having my 50mm 1.8 on all the time with the versatility of the zoom. That said, I am struggling to nail it every time when the light is less than favourable.

Why not look on eBay at nice, high value items that are for sale very close to you with crap photos and get in touch with the seller? If you want access to nice things and swap that for decent pictures for them then it would seem like a win win situation.
Depends on what light there is.
You need a shutter speed fast enough to freeze the action, the ISO high enough so there is enough light and the aperture open enough to balance these 2. Sorry for not giving an 'answer' but they are the things you have to balance to get the shot.
