    Weird Green Line

Sorry, I've been really busy and not had chance to get on here. It's on the files on the computer; I thought it might be a damaged card so I bought a new card and transferred the photos using the cable rather than putting the card in the computer but it's still there. I bought the camera...

    Weird Green Line

Yeah although its more obvious on certain ones like if the foreground is dark you can see it clearly whereas if it's lighter it's not as obvious.

    Weird Green Line

Hi, just a quick question; I'm getting a very thin green line on my photo's, it's about 5/6cm long and runs from the bottom up of my photos - any ideas what this could be? Thanks

    Shooting in Sunlight

Just going to try it out in the local park so some scenary, trees, plants etc. Need to make the most of this weather and the trees have just started to turn which is beautiful.

    Shooting in Sunlight

I'm going out with my camera tonight as it's so clear and sunny - what are the best settings or tips for shooting in sunlight to get the best result? (I have a Nikon D70)

    Not easy....

I love the photo's of oil in/on water so last night the other half was out so I thought I'd give it a go (without a Macro lens of any kind) and I discovered, not easy lol :D I think a Macro lens will be on the cards next month.

    Fascinated by Macro.....

They're really good shots, I like them. At the moment I'm liking the sound of the 105mm, but will have to wait til next payday :(

    Woo hoo, my 1st camera.....

Well, I went and got my camera from Liverpool today and I'm chuffed to bits with it. Got so much to learn which hit me as soon as I opened the manual about ISO's, shutter speeds, aperture etc (no idea what any of this means yet), but it'll be fun learning. Hoping the weather is better tomorrow...

    Fascinated by Macro.....

Reading on the Macro section a ring flash seems to be more recommended for Macro shots so I may look into that as I'd only really want the flash for Macro (bugs, flowers and water drops) work. I assume I can use a Raynox DCR-250 with my 18-70mm kit lens? This whole process is a steep...

    Fascinated by Macro.....

I've had a glance on google and ebay - there is a Nikon Sb-80 flash which is reasonably priced; will need to read up on difusers and 'bouncing and reflecting the light' though. Also the Kenko tubes are a bit out of my price range at the moment, but like the sound of the Raynox; do I need a flash...

    Fascinated by Macro.....

My kit lens is a 18-70mm, presumably that would work with the attachment? Sorry, it's like 20 questions at the moment.

    Fascinated by Macro.....

Wow Dazzler, those shots are amazing and just what I'd want to achieve and can't get over the price of the Raynox too. Now about the flash?? Another new area for me - any particular one for the D70 Macro work?

    Fascinated by Macro.....

and I haven't even picked up my first D-SLR camera yet  but I can't help looking at all the Macro shots on here, it fascinates me and something I'd love to learn. I'm getting my Nikon D70 tomorrow and next month after some saving I'd love to get a Macro lens second hand to photograph...

    What software?

I think I will try Elements - downloaded a free trial of Lightroom 3 last night and loaded in some photos taken on my 'point and click' to have a fiddle with and........I had nooooooo idea what I was doing lol. Been looking at some of the edited photos on here and they look amazing, will put...
