    Purchased Used 40D Problem

I used EOSinfo. Not to mention the actuations even if he claimed not to know how to find the actuations having been a owner since new & now has a 7D. So you think only citing the scratches referring to his message that you need a magnifying glass to see them it the only basis for the claim?

    Purchased Used 40D Problem

Hi All, I've recently bought a used 40D. Looked in good condition when I got it. Before getting it I asked the seller whether it had any visible marks on the LCD's. He replied "none, unless you look with a magnifying glass" There are 4 quite LARGE cleat scratches on the back ! The...

    40D on camera flash

Hi All, Quick question. I've bought a 2nd hand 40D. I put the 50mm f1.8 on it to try taking a few pictures. In Auto-mode, when I half-press the shutter, the on camera flash fires a few times while focussing before the shot is taken. Why is this? I've since reset all the camera...

    Extension Tubes

Thanks. Increased exposure and got some better results. Only problem is the D70 doesn't have LiveView so it takes a bit of trial and error to get the shot. I've got a 40D too, will order some tubes for that too, maybe the focusing ones. Will try and post pics in a bit too. WTP

    Extension Tubes

Hi All, I've just grabbed a set of "dumb" extension tubes off ebay. I was assuming that I just: - stick them on my camera body (Nikon D70) - add my lens (35mm f1.8G) - & SHOOT Not quite working out as I thought. Looking through the viewfinder: - everything is pretty dark. - does not focus...

All in 1 Lens or 2 Lenses

Even the 2 Kit lenses I'm considering? I've heard good things about them. The only thing that's playing on my mind is that they both have rotating end elements which would made Polarising Filter usage awkward. What do we think? WTP

All in 1 Lens or 2 Lenses

Hi All, The New Guy wanted to rack your brains again. I've got a Canon 40D & a Nifty Fifty and have been looking at other lenses. My question is; Should I go for 2 lenses or an all in one? 2 lenses being the Kit pair: 18-55mm IS II & 55-250 IS II (costing ~£275 for both) &...

That's odd, I've only ever heard good things about the 18-135mm (???) Having said that another friend has just said the same...actually recommended going for the 18-55mm IS II kit lens over the 18-135mm ! What about the 18-200mm
