Are there any good ones you can recommend? I often go out on weekends with friends and would love a good camera to take with me. I would buy a compact but I hate my pockets being full with keys, phones and wallets so a phone camera is idea to avoid filling my pockets as much. I want a decent...
I created a background, positioned this photo on top and used layer masking to remove all of the backdrops in the photo and reveal my background underneath. Its hard to explain, but if you google layer masks/masking you will probably find something useful. Its also worth buying a photography...
Every month I burn all of my DSLR RAW and bridge camera JPEG files to CD. The CD's are then printed on with the month, year and locations. Then I store them in my CD case, which holds up to 500 CD's. I do not want to lose any of my old photo's because I want them to look back on and see my progress.
Im not sure what to think, but I had a go. Pure white was too harsh to work with so I used a toned background. I left the picture wide so you can decide on a crop if necessary.
With the credit crisis I believe BT are giving away free line installations. You just have to ask and say you cannot afford to pay for the line to be installed ;) ...I believe there is a waiting list, but it will save you £125!! I think I heard this on the ITV's "this morning" a few weeks ago...
 Im still laughing at that!!
Anyways, I have a bridge camera that I find very restricting when there is that feature you feel you need. You have far less control with a bridge camera and almost everything is automatic. Does that not take the fun out of taking photos? It does for me...
Nearly every photographer ends up with a Nikon or a Canon. I am a Nikon man so I recommend the Nikon D40. Very simple to use and a brilliant all-round camera. Join the force, not the dark side...
The D40 is a excellent camera that is basically the D60 with less features. To be honest I cannot see any DSLR camera going out of date so long as you have shutter, aperture and ISO control. They only add extra features like live view or in camera editing and so on. The next milestone that will...
I know you were not looking at this lens to begin with, but it matches the Nikon in terms of focal length and features. The Sigma 18-200mm OS could save you a lot of money and it came out on top in a test between 5 or so telephoto zoom lenses in the april issue of Digital Photo. It was compared...
I am also torn between the D5000 and D90. I like the screen feature on the D5000 but everyone tells me the D90 is better, but I cant see how if it is the same?? There must be something better about the D90 because it is more expensive.
I own the 120-400mm and you wont find it easy to handle without a monopod or a tripod. It is a monster! The Nikon range are very expensive around 400mm length so you may be better sticking to a 300mm range.
