Cheapest place to get film developing chemicals?

I'm quietly grateful I also need fixer and print developer and film, it puts it over the free shipping threshold on a few sites

    Film Problems and their causes

I'm not really sure I understand. The light would reach from one edge of the film to the other, so outside of the frame itself. While you could be right about the darkslide, it'd still mean there's a leak as its supposed to still be light tight when the darkslide is removed

    Film Problems and their causes

straight edge like that suggests a light leak of one of your new seals I think. This is the leak I got using one of those plastic DIY TLR's DIYTLR-kentmere400-510pyro_ 3 by Madison S, on Flickr

    Fixer

There's a bit of a caveat if you're using a septic system IIRC, but I cant for the life of me remember what. I saved up all my fixer for ages and took it, complete with the chemical data sheet to my local recycling centre as was suggested on another forum. Guy took one look at it and yeeted the...

Best place to get films processed and scanned.

Coming back to this my experience with FilmSafe has been a bit of a mixed bag. Dev and Scan was a bit slower than normal, but only by a day or so but after two weeks I emailed to ask if they'd sent my negatives back to me yet and all I got was an email confirming my order was done... the same...

Where do you get your film developed

I've used Filmsafe and the developing and scanning, while not lightning fast, was quick enough... been two weeks and still awaiting my negatives though

    Cobra, Rest in Peace

I agree. I was scrolling a couple of days ago and spotted a post of his and foolishly thought it was a new post. The disappointment when I remembered was much worse than I expected

Grit like particles in my Rodinal.

From what I've experienced with different brands of rodinal, its entirely normal and, as far as I've been able to tell, makes no difference to its efficacy. Just make sure you've not got any chunky bits going into the tank when you're developing

Best place to get films processed and scanned.

I've been sat on three rolls of E6 that have needed doing a while but the price has just been prohibitive for me

    Daylight Robbery? Too right!

I see analogue wonderland are selling a film by Mr Negative called Daylight Robbery... at £19 a roll. If you used them for developing with a standard scan, you're looking at nearly £34 for a roll before shipping! Add to that that the manufacturer recommends overexposing it to make the colours...
