what about the bokeh difference between a f/1.8 and a f/1.4 35mm ?

focusing seem pretty quick (when its able to lock), otherwise i'll get the "AF!" error, but still too early to judge. Noise control is very impressive I have to say.

a question to those who shoot raw with x100/x100s: If any of the photo-editing software supports the x100s raw file? From what I understand, fuji has it's own raw file format (especially with it's new trans sensor).

that's pretty impressive for ISO 25,600! I would never get anywhere above ISO800 for with my d300.

I definitely suggest 85mm f/1.8 G, it's a really nice lens, but might take awhile to get used to the distance, also i find the bokeh on the 85mm 1.8 a little nicer than the one on the 50mm 1.8.

If you are going for a DX camera you might want to consider 17-55mm f/2.8. A pretty decent lens, could get a S/H from ebay for around £550.
