OK. problem solved...kinda. Plugged my 550 into my mac via USB and i have managed to get the photos off it using Image Capture. It seems inconsistent, sometimes it works perfectly, other times not so much. When I try any of my SD cards (sandisk, trancend) they only mount approx 1 out of 10...

I have just tried Image Capture and none of the images show up. Can I also add, its a Kingston 16g SD. Not a cheapo one...
