    Ebay Bargain.........

It's simply because it's a permanent listing and they don't have any in stock. So instead of pulling the listing they just put the price up to something stupid so no one will buy it.

    Warning Scam site dilones.com

How do people actually find these websites in the first place? What do you search for? I normally start with camerapricebuster and go with the recognised names. Why do people even take a punt on a "too good to be true" price from an unknown vendor anymore?

    CPL & UV Filters

Nothing is better than a cheap CPL. To clarify, I'd rather have nothing than a cheap CPL. Cheap filters are generally rubbish.

    D7000 and noise

The sample of the group is horrendous. I wouldn't worry about the baby's foot when there is so much noise visible in the blue shirt of the guy in the middle (and in the shadows on his face). Have you processed that shot in any way and if so, how? What does it look like SOOC?

    Amazon Black Friday

Is this going to be as rubbish as the last one? Nothing worth buying and everything out of stock. Anyway, as a marketing tool Amazon must be laughing their heads off.

    Buying Canon batteries

The energizer ones are also very good. They hold their charge for ages.

    Manfrotto 055CX Pro 4 - any alternatives?

Do you expect to get the head before then or do you have another one you can use? Also, damn, I am sorry for not seeing this earlier. I have a barely used 055CX PRO 4 with 322RC2 heavy duty grip ball head which I could have sold, with some of the quick release plates.... :bonk: next day...

    Carbon Fibre Tropd £99.95

http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=286909&highlight=tripod The one in the link above is the 732CY with a miniature ball head, which may be better for your purposes if you prefer a ball, the jessops link doesn't work anymore but you may be able to find it from elsewhere...

1D MK IV no good for insect macro

+1. Live view will give you a very quiet shutter. Makes it easier to see where the focus is too.
