Is there any free program which will add a watermark to a batch of pictures in one go? I don't have photoshop or lightroom and use GIMP as my editing program, but can't seem to find a way on this to do it Any help gratefully appreciated

Thanks for your replies. I do also have a 50mm 1.8, which is lovely for up close indoor pics, but I think it's gonna be a case of saving up. I have also been looking at the Sigma 50 - 150 2.8, which I think I could get away with focal length wise. Hmmmm, decisions decisions

When dogs are running round a ring, I can be as far as 30 meters or so from them, so I guess I could shorten the focal length, but not by much

I like shooting dogs on the move, I usually find putting it in the shutter priority mode first, then upping the iso till I'm happy with the picture. I'm a complete novice to using a DSLR, but learning all the time. I also set the camera to take contiuous shots, and have it in AI Servo mode...

thanks guys, I'm not going to worry too much about the composition of the image at the moment, but will have a go at using the center or bottom center focus point and trying following the subject with a higher shutter speed, fingers crossed
