Opinions on Fujifilm XQ2 dial ring

Thanks for the reply. It comes a little too late for helping me to decide (I've ended up buying the RX100), but it surely helps me not to have any regrets about the XQ2. I really liked the camera but that ring... Fyi, the RX100's ring works great

Opinions on Fujifilm XQ2 dial ring

Hi everybody, I recently had the opportunity to hold and brifly test a Fufifilm XQ2. At the moment of the test I wasn't impressed with the dial ring, I found it fiddly and "cheap". However there seem to be no mention of this problems in the reviews I read online, so I am starting to think it...

    LX5 vs G9X...is it (im)possible to compare?

I don't think I can. Already the G9X feels a bit short to me. Not much, I just sold my super-zoom SP100 because I had no real use for it, but I would enjoy at least a 24-100

    LX5 vs G9X...is it (im)possible to compare?

Hello everybody, I am here looking for a good compact camera. I am not a pro, I don't need long zooms and don't have the necessity to play around too much with (shallow) DOF. I do require however a compact camera with some access to manual controls. I am aware that in recent years there has...

Canon G9X, what about the lens?

I see. The difference in sensor size is substantial though. Isn't that what we are paying for? Otherwise also the original RX100, which everybody seems to love no matter what, can be considered a hugely overpriced pockets camera. After all what does it offer more than the G9X? I'm talking abou...

Canon G9X, what about the lens?

Yeah I noticed it's not very popular. I was trying to understand why. To me looks like a tuned down G7X but then again, I'm hardly an expert so what do I know??

Canon G9X, what about the lens?

I understand. But it's still around £200 cheaper than the G7X Mk-II. I'm trying to decide whether it's worth the difference...

Canon G9X, what about the lens?

Hi everybody, after much debate, both in my head and with my wife, I think we are leaning towards the G9X. I briefly tried it in the airport and loved the controls. Actually I should use the singular as there is only one dial, but I found the touchscreen very helpful to quickly switch between...

    Fuji X-A1 or X-M1 - Am I too late?

I know! Right?? I suppose in a way she is right. There is no point in going straight from a Sony w320 to a pro-DSLR (nor I would want something that bulky), but I thought the X-A1/2 would be a good step up. Anyway, I might have to "settle" for a good compact

I don't wear specs but sometimes I do take the eye off the viewfinder. Keeping the viewfinder shut might help.

    Fuji X-A1 or X-M1 - Am I too late?

Wow, thanks guys. That makes me feeling much more confident about buying used gear. I will keep you posted. Unfortunately me and my wife have very different views on what camera we need so I might need to compromise :D That price for a X-A1 body is reeeeally good though!

I think the light is coming from the viewfinder. The seal that closes up the mirror when in open position might be ruined. Unfortunately that's also the most complex to fix :(

Definitely a cheap option compared to buying a lens :)

Thank you guys! I see the orange streaks you are talking about, NickT (thanks to whoever decided to open such an usual group!). None of my pictures displays anything similar, so it's good. This ne however has a white flare that is somewhat similar to what I have on mine...
