Good Evening all,
I'm coming to you this evening with a bit of a conundrum. I apologise if this goes on a little but it's all sort of relevant
Where I currently work we are currently relocating all of our operation in to one site. As part of this we will be moving all of our pre-owned team to...
Just getting back in to the forum myself but I started losing weight at the start of April last year.
After finishing university and failing to get a job using my degree I ended up getting quite down. I ballooned up to a peak weight of 21st 1lb. Disgusting, I know.
As of this week I'm weighing...
Been subscribed to these guys for quite a while now as I think it's fascinating seeing some of this stuff shot at ~10,000 fps.
Today they posted quite a relevant video showing a DSLR shutter. Amazing stuff when you think about it.
I know the feeling. I am just getting back in to photography. I did a degree in it and graduated in 2012. After that I fell of the map and had no interest whatsoever in picking up a camera.
I felt like I had used up all my passion and I struggled to see myself coming back.
Recently though I've...
Many thanks chaps. I knew even if I didn't get specifics there would be people around to provide some tips that apply for the majority of interviews.

Hi guys, I've been away from the forum for a while now but I've finished my degree and I needed some help/advice so here I am to ask you fine fellows.
I have an interview coming up for a Trainee Clinical Photographer position within the NHS. I have a couple of questions relating to it.

I'm sure I read/heard somewhere that currently there is a limit to how low an ISO digital SLR's can do properly. Lower than that it works differently and somehow samples the image to create the feel of a lower ISO without it actually being as low in practice.

That'll be the exposure meter. When the bar is in the middle that means correctly exposed, to the left is under-exposed and to the right will be overexposed.

Personally, I'd sell it. And if you actually need a 2nd body. Get the Nikon equivalent, a D70/80. Do you really want to be spreading yourself thinly over two formats or would you rather be focussed on one?

As far as I know there is absolutely zero difference between the UK and US model. Except the US version would probably need a cheapy adapter for the battery charger (I don't know if Ian provides this).

Camera Price Buster - 7D
That shows the best prices on UK models from trusted retailers.
That said, if you don't mind buying US imports then definately contact Kerso. His prices are often brilliant and you usually get very very new stock rather than something that's been sitting on a shelf...
Unlucky. My grandfather would probably do the same. Good job I don't really use filters.
At least you've learned never to leave filters out and about. And look on the bright side, like you said, at least it wasn't one of the expensive ones.

Agree with the above. A few of them seem to have the mats at the back wall in focus but not the people you meant to focus on. From positioning it looks like you might be using the centre AF point. You could always try to focus and recompose or perhaps the quicker way would be to use the outer AF...
As far as I know the mount on the body is supposedly made to be the weakest point so there's less chance the lens will be damaged in a fall. Still very painful to look at though.
