Very helpful, thanks. I presume that it would be hard if not impossible to calibrate in the way we did PC/MACs in the old days. I'd better decide on budgets and possibilities.

    Tablets

OK folks, now don't get all apoplectic but is it at all possible to use a tablet to process photos. I use a canon and shoot raw. Currently using a behemoth of a laptop and Elements. But as I can make a pot of coffee (including brewing time) between actions I'm looking at replacing lappy. i...

    very basic question

Over exposed for the sky. You could try a polarising filter if there is little between the sky and subject but if the light difference is greater then graduated neutral density filters are the way to go.

    Lens for Landscapes

I use my 18-200 siggie most often as it's my walk around but have taken images with my 50 and also 70-200 with teleconverter on and been happy. There are many who wouldn't use anything other than a 10-20; as said above, depends what you want to achieve.

    Shooting Black Dogs

Technically, if you look closely, you will probably find the dogs are actually a dark brown... Alternatively, get some brown dogs...

    Canon 600D diopter adjustment

I'm not good at the physics, but my experience is exactly the same. I think it has something to do with our very poor natural vision. I'm sure an optical physicist will be along soon ;)
