My car is working again!.... Posted earlier this week in the WAMT thread about the CEM in my Volvo, which had a burnt out relay.... This morning the replacement cloned CEM was delivered, I fitted it, reconnected the battery and started the car and everything is working again!!!

It's hilarious that the Mini Countryman of today is actually longer wider and heavier than the Austin Maxi!!!

Accommodation is not a problem for us, we have a house out there... it's our holiday/retirement home. Bumped into my friend again today and he told me another mutual friend was airborne today with Emirates, heading for Thailand and that when he was at check-in they made a flight change for him...

When I checked the internals of the CEM it didn't take long to realise how difficult a job it would be to replace the relay .... The module has 3 stacked PCB's with soldered supports also acting as conductors. The burnt out relay itself was pretty compact but de soldering it to replace it...

Well, The replacement CEM arrived this morning and after checking it internally It is now waiting to be picked up by the courier. The place I am sending it to has good reviews with a quick turnaround so I should have it back fairly quick.... I bet it would have cost a fortune to fix it if I'd...

It happens with my Volvo sometimes when I haven't turned on the air-con but as soon as I notice the windows are starting to mist up I turn the air-con back on and put the fan on full blast before it becomes a problem... If my windows are misty when I get in it I always wait until the screen is...

My Volvo!!! Owned it for 7 years and has been a very reliable until last night.... Car was parked up outside the house and front and rear lights were on... No keys in the ignition and the headlight switch in was not in parking lights position.... Started it up for a couple of minutes before...

The only sport I was watching on Sky Sports was Rugby League and mainly the NRL matches from Australia but that was limited to 3 matches per week. I found that all NRL matches are available to stream on a subscription, so I cancelled Sky Sports and now get to watch every match live...

Being able to cancel my Sky TV.... Last year I renewed my Sky TV contract and stupidly agreed to another 24 months after negotiating the price down to £35 after I cancelled Sky Sports.... After a couple of months I realised how little I was watching Sky channels and was tending to watch the free...

I bought a belt with a plastic buckle which was supposed to be OK for going through airport scanners, but every time I go through security at Manchester Airport they still make me take it off.... It's not a problem at any of the other security scanners I pass through in Doha and Bangkok...

I switched to non-DEET based insect repellents and haven't suffered any sticky grips since I stopped using DEET. I treated my Nikon F75 sticky grips with isopropyl alcohol and 303 protectant and it’s now ok!!!

My 2009 Volvo C30 passing its' MOT today... :D :D :D Was checking my car earlier this week and there was nothing coming out of the windscreen washer nozzles,,,, the T-piece feeding the nearside nozzle had disintegrated, so got a replacement and got it sorted before taking it for the MOT...

Yep, in Thailand dark skin is associated with be "Lo-So" (Low society) and lighter skin more "Hi-So" and more European looking... Plenty of Thai women also get rhinoplasty done to try and look more European....
