Might only be a pound a week but if I add all the pounds here and pounds there for hosting and editing it all adds up.

The Amazing Sony A1/A7/A9/APS-C & Anything else welcome Mega Thread!

Just a quick update. I hired a Canon 70-300 l from Castle Camera's and I was so impressed I'm buying this lens. With the sigma MC11 the 70-300 is right up there with the sigma 35mm f1.4 art and 70-200mm f2.8 mkii on focusing speed, accuracy and sharpness. Obviously if money wasn't a problem...

Thank you for the reply. Good to hear it's a sharp lens, that's more important than the focusing. I was sort of expecting the focus to be hit and miss so I'm happy with "OK" If I was to purchase the Canon it will be used mainly for landscape photography so will be manually focused anyway...

Hi peeps! Has anyone tried the Canon 70-300 L on the Sony a7iii with the sigma MC-11. Your thoughts on focusing, sharpness etc please. I was actually looking at purchasing the sigma 100-400mm but have been offered the Canon at a good price so now not sure which way to go. Sony is over budget...

Thanks for the reply. By the look of things no one has any negatives to put me off buying one. I am VERY tempted in the 24-70 GM too. I'm popping into Castle Cameras Bournemouth later today, hopefully I make the right choice. [emoji3]

    Sony A mount

Thank you for your reply. The lens was posted today. I believe it's a fully manual lens. Looking on Amazon, K&F Concept seems reasonable at £29.99

    Sony A mount

Hi, help and advice please. I have just purchased a Samyang 14mm f2.8 UMC Aspherical IF ED Lens for my Sony a7iii. Great! Reading the eBay listing properly AFTER buying, the seller says it's an A mount..... not so Great! Can anyone recommend an adapter or would I be better off selling the...

    Canon 7dii to a 5diii

Most certainly have. £1200 gets you a excellent condition with very low shutter count body only. Buying a used FF will allow me to keep the 7d which would be nice in a way as I wiuld have the best of both worlds.

    Canon 7dii to a 5diii

Like? Love the 5D3. Reason I didn't pull the trigger today is I want to look a little further into the newer 6d ii.

    Canon 7dii to a 5diii

Quick update: Went to Castle Cameras and walked out with nothing! Lol Will take my time deciding and also consider buying used as well as looking at the 6d a little closer. Once again thanks all for your advice.

    Canon 7dii to a 5diii

Thank you all for your replies, it's helped me make my mind up, I'm going with a new 5diii. Castle Camera's my local camera shop have one in stock reserved for me. I did consider the 6d and the 6dii but I can't afford to make another mistake so sticking with what I know and like, the Canon 5d .

    Canon 7dii to a 5diii

Use to own a 5dii for many years, sadly it died just before Christmas. As photography is just a hobby and I shoot anything and everything although landscapes and portrait are my main interests. So, with all this in mind I couldn't justify the price tag of the Canon 5diii which would have...
