Wow some great responses many thanks guys and girls This will be used on a 7d so will be cropped. In regards to fl I do mainly grass roots drifting where you rarely need anything longer than 150mm and then the occasional knockhill trackday or event where it's easy to get right into the action...

Turns out, the camera only does it with a 10-20mm lens fitted to it lol i had my longer lens on it and it never clicked the whole time ..............strange

I have these lenses and i found them to be pretty good. I dont use the 28-70mm very often but the 70-300mm gets heavy use at track days and other events. For the price they are excellent to learn and get a feel for what u might require in the future
