Thanks for the info, I’ll probably have a go at it if it’s fairly easy to do.

    Feisol 3472 tripod

Hi all, I have a Feisol 3472 tripod which I bought some time ago but it has had only casual use since purchase. I now find that one of the legs does not come out from the body when trying to put it up, I have to operate the catch to get it to move at all. I checked on the internet to see if...

    Rubber coming unstuck.

Hi all, the rubber on my Canon 1DX is starting to come unstuck. Does anyone know if a special adhesive is required to repair it or will a 'good glue' do the job. It's just at the bottom end of the grip section where it's starting to come loose, is it a trip to Canon for it or can it be done...

    Tripod ring problem Canon 300mm f2.8 ( not Mk11 version )

Hi, thanks for confirming that the plastic part moves, I have had another look at the part and noticed that the plastic inner has what appears to be a rubber band at either side but mine has one side badly worn to the extent of being almost non existent and I'm wondering if this is the problem...

    Tripod ring problem Canon 300mm f2.8 ( not Mk11 version )

The screw is tight, all the screws on the lens are O.K. The plastic inner on the 70 200 is fixed but without a screw, the plastic inner on my 300 is held by a screw but the rest is movable, should this be fixed i.e. immovable or loose. This has only just started being a problem so I am assuming...

    Tripod ring problem Canon 300mm f2.8 ( not Mk11 version )

Thanks for the reply. The screw is still in place but the whole inner part is loose, other than the bit held by the screw, on the tripod ring on my 70 200 the inner part does not move so I am assuming something else holds it in place as well as the screw.

    Tripod ring problem Canon 300mm f2.8 ( not Mk11 version )

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help, on the tripod ring for my Canon 300mm f 2.8 lens the inner ring, which appears to be Silicone, has come loose and is sticking when I try to rotate it. Is this part user replaceable or is it going on a trip to Canon. It was obviously stuck down...

    Canon Eos M3

Many thanks everyone for your replies, it would appear I was experiencing a senior moment, I downloaded the latest version of DPP from the Canon website assuming it would update my present version., I didn't realise it would download version 4 to run with my current version and not replace it...

    Canon Eos M3

Hi all, thanks for the replies, I downloaded what I presumed was the latest version of DPP from the Canon website. It will read every Canon raw file I have from my ancient 300D to my 1DX but it won't display images from the M3. It will display jpegs but not raw.

    Canon Eos M3

I've updated the Canon software but still can't get it to to read the raw files, it recognises the files and I can see all the info but it won't display the image.

    Canon Eos M3

Hi, I'm looking for some info if anyone could help please. I've just bought a Canon Eos M3 as a carry round camera, I generally use raw files but I am having trouble opening these with Canon DPP, has anyone any suggestions as to why this is occurring. Many thanks, John.

    1D MK1V

Hi everybody, (especially 1D MK 1V users ). Do any of the MK 1V users on T.P. think that the MK 1V is a big leap from the MK 111 or just a little better, does the increase in technology equate to the increase in price? The reviews that can be found on the internet differ somewhat depending...

    Tripod & Head combination.

Many thanks for the replies, I was thinking that most would use a Gitzo ( or maybe a copy of ) and possibly a Wimberley but it seems pointless trying to economise in such a situation. Many thanks John.

    Tripod & Head combination.

Hi everybody, I was wondering if any of the Wildlife photographers on this forum could maybe provide me with some information. I shall, hopefully, be the proud, nay ecstatic, owner of a Canon 500 mm F4 IS lens and was hoping that some of the members who already use this lens could give me...
