I have the Panasonic 100-300 mkii on em1 mk3.
I went with the Panasonic in the end based on the max aperture although I was worried about the cross company compatibility.
I use it for photographing rowing. So not the fastest sport but still I have not been let down when using focus tracking.
I'm looking at going on a Safari (SA) next month and I am woefully under kitted for such a trip.
My longest focal length at the moment is 60mm!
What would you take, given that the Safari is only 1/3 of the trip and I want to pack relatively light?

I'd be interested to know if the G5 has a different algorithm in P mode to the G3. I find the P mode has bias toward large apertures, much more so than the aperture/shutter combination I get in the a D300 for example.
I always used to go for smaller ones, but when you upgrade your camera and the file sizes have gone up again you end up wishing you had a larger card to hold the same number of photos.
Just tell them you are going to switch on your PC now and leave them on the phone ad infinitum. Will at least stop them making a few calls to other people why they wait.

No backwards compatibility, so you can't import exisitng projects.
