Magic Trackpad vs Magic Mouse for Photographers?

I much prefer the touchpad, but i dont do much editing. I find the magic mouse far too small, and somewhat rsi inducing for work that involves a lot of mouse movement. I'd suggest a different mouse brand. Plenty of other manufacturers make bluetooth mice.

    IR Photography

Most modern dslrs have a pretty strong hot mirror, making IR exposures very long. Look for an old model second hand if you want to shoot IR a lot, i can just about shoot hand held with a non converted d70. To answer you original question, yes the filter needs to be light tight. I've achieved...

    My web site

This is going to sound harsh, but i completely agree. In my opinion flash sites have no place in this day and age, they break navigation and are not accessible. You can achieve a number of similar effects with javascript (using free libraries, check out jquery), while keeping your site accessible.

    filters for sigma 10-20mm

ditto, exactly what i did too. you dont necessarily NEED 100mm filters at all.

    Ifrared filters

The standard infrared filter is the hoya r72, though i have no idea about the sensitivity of the 550d. Most modern dslrs have quite a strong hot mirror that blocks a lot of the available infrared light. You're probably looking at quite long exposures. The r72 lets through a small amount of...

Any web designers, need some advice??

I'd use wordpress, but thats because i know the plugin and template architecture inside out. In my (biased) opinion wordpress is a great cms. If your not interested in the blog side use wordpress pages and make one your home page There are forum plugins and if your not code inclined you can...

The universal trigger interface (The little box)

I dont have any rf602s at the moment, but im certainly thinking about getting some. I wonder if you can switch the channel quick enough that you can trigger two groups from the same transmitter almost simultaneously by toggling the channel and firing. Dont know how long the pin has to be high to...

Using 2nd wp theme simultaneously and shifting blog to /blog

Why have the overhead of a second install if you can achieve the same thing using a single installation?

The universal trigger interface (The little box)

yer that should be totally possible, just a question of software. Assuming changing the channel address doesnt introduce any delays

The universal trigger interface (The little box)

This is looking great, hadnt thought about the using an rf602 trigger. Thinking about internalising one of those in my system! By the way you might not need some of those extra resistors, the atmel 328 (maybe the atmel your using has the same feature?) has internal pullups on all digital pins...

Using 2nd wp theme simultaneously and shifting blog to /blog

from a quick google: http://tech18.com/how-to-use-different-themes-for-wordpress-posts-or-pages.html you should be able to use a single installation EDIT: link looks to be dead from there, you could probably do it with a custom page template for your static page pulling in different header/footers

    Web site ideas/ help???

A lot of the professional look can be remedied by editing theme. There is an awful lot of power if you look under the hood of wordpress, but it does require you to tinker with some of the theme functions. The theme is broken down into simple chunks you can edit. Header / footer / page, etc...

    Advice please on macro lens

I've just bought one of these second hand to replace my 50mm macro as the working distance is a bit too close. The 50mm was always tack sharp, i expect this to be the same. They were on onestop digital for about 300gbp, though im not sure what the warranty situation with that is.
