    What car do you drive?

I have just sold my Mazda MX 5 2.0 Coupe which was a superb little motor. I needed something with a bigger boot so have splashed out on our new 2015 Subaru WRX STI which has a much bigger boot and is quite nippy as well :naughty: although it does have a bit of a drink problem.

Looking for a flask or food jar.

Sigg are very overrated and overpriced , not the quality they once were. The last one I bought leaked from a pressing fracture in the base. Stanley flasks are not cheap but they are bomb proof, I have had the same one for over 25 years and its still going strong. The food flasks are of the same...

Off to Bang Bao Bay on Koh Chang island in a few weeks, can't wait for a spot of fishing, eating and the odd drink or three.

    Holiday on your own?

Go for it, I always travel alone and really enjoy it. Roll on November, a whole month off and going to S.E. Asia for a wander around.

    Small compact under £100 ?

Have a look at the Canon Ixus 240, a simple tough metal bodied compact. Very small but has a a sensible zoom range, decent image quality and is WIFI capable. under a £100 on Amazon.

    sigma 120-400

I have the Sigma and I reckon it's worth every penny. This was at 400mm on a D5100, sharp enough for me. DSC_1415 by marlinbob, on Flickr

    "Panasonic G series" Owners Thread

I've been hanging my nose over a mirrorless camera for a while now, something to carry around when out and about. I had a serious look at the EP-L offerings and was sorely tempted by the EP-L5 but for the price at present. Finally went for a GX1, seems very nicely built and fits just right in...

    Nikon D600 / D610 Official Users thread - Anything D6x0 related

With the Nikkor 24-70 on its a fair old lump to carry around and does feel a bit front heavy but worth it. Maybe the Tamron might be a bit lighter and by all accounts its a very good lens for a lot less money.

    Wildlife holidays

I would not rule out a trip to the Isle of Colonsay, It's an absolute gem of a place, Otter and Seals and great birdlife along the cliffs on the west side.

    Never been on a plane

Most people would not comprehend the level of engineering, design, testing and inpection that go's into the building of airliners. the cost of some of the components we make is staggering, this is why they are so safe. I fly on occasion but loathe every second of it, normally the panic sets in...
