Hello all. I have a friend who has been asked to shoot someone in a black, shiny, latex outfit and he's not sure how to light it without getting too many reflections. Any ideas?

Mind you...the ability to shoot video might be useful. But am I right in saying the 7D is the one I'd want to do that?

I only paid £150 for the body so it may be cheaper to buy another..or have a go at repairing it.

Probably. But as money is very tight (having to sell my car before I can buy a replacement.. ) I'm hoping that it could be repairable.

Good point. I do tend to shoot a lot in dark settings so that might help. And I don't plan on doing huge prints.

To be honest, I don't know that I'll use the micro adjust. But..doesn't mean that I won't at some point! :lol: The screen looks like a good toy but I wonder it it would feel more like the cheaper bodies.

Facing to possibility of a dead 30D, I'm looking at what to replace it with. I can't afford new, so it has to be second hand. The lenses I have are ok for now, and can't afford a 5D and the new lenses I'd need. So I considered a 7D, but they are still out of my budget. But 50D and 60D might be...

Hello all. My 30D developed a very bizar fault today. It started to make a loud screeching noise that wouldn't stop. Even pulling the battery and re-installing it brought it back. It does it with or without the lens. Here is a crappy video of what it does...

Got the lens back... They are unable to repair it! Parts are no longer available for this lens. :( So I've had to buy another one off ebay..

Lens was dispatched to Sigma last week. Just waiting for them to tell me what's wrong.

Perhaps and extension tube is the way to go for now.

Just in case anyone was wondering... I got an old 10D to play with, then upgraded to a 30D. I have a few lenses to play with too, so learning what gives results and what doesn't. :)

Canon lenses would be nice, but probably out of my price range. Unless I can pick up a nice L lens for under £200..?
