Seems like ages since Photography Life last did an in depth review of a Camera or Lens. One or two "field" reviews pop up but these are very basic, and without any comparisons etc. I suppose I'm noticing it mainly with Nikon Z lenses. A reasonable list but still some noticeable absenses.

Same situation as you. I find my 24-200mm a great all rounder but wanted something longer. I went for the 100-400mm. Not got the flexibility of the 28-400m but a better performer overall.

Are there any Sony lenses that significantly outperform any Nikon Z mount lenses?

Mine focusses at around 16 inches.

Another vote for the 24-200mm. Hugely versatile.

Not for me. I was hoping for a bump in MP's but previous leaks/rumours had precluded that being likely. I'm stills only, so I may upgrade my Z6ii to the Z7ii. I would hang on for a Z7iii but I've a feeling that won't happen.

When I want a rough idea of second hand values I tend to look at eBay Completed Listings. They hi-Lite in green prices fetched, not hi-Lited means it didn't sell.

Circular Polarising Filter. Is it ok, or even beneficial, to use these on my 14-30mm. I was reading that filters can be problematic on W/A lenses. Also would stepping up a 77mm CPL to 82mm work satisfactorily, or would I get some of the filter in shot?

Thanks. I think I can recall this being mentioned now, in the early days of the camera's release. Not really that relevant to my photography though, but I'll remember to change the setting if I need too.
