But.... Mmmmmm, depth of field of 200mm @ f2.8. I am going to go ahead and say no, it would not be worth your while dropping the extra money on the IS version, just use a good tripod or monopod. The IS in my 2.8 means I can drop my shutter speed from 1/60th at 200mm to 1/15th at 200mm...
