I run an ocz vertex 2 as my boot drive and have a small ocz agility ssd purely as a scratch disk for photoshop. It loads photoshop in a second and is really quick compared to pre ssd. Money well spent

High iso is a godsend for me. Dark churches and country houses aren't iso friendly! 5d mk3 high iso performance is fantastic and with the 85 f1.2 it about sees in the dark
I sold my 1.4extender. I thought I would use it but I just didn't like the difference from the 70-200f2.8l without it. I would agree and say to go for something longer to start with.
I looked into the cheap stuff and the other proper brands. In the end I got some used bowens lights which have performed perfectly. I would rather have good quality than perceived quality anyday.
Black velvet from Dunelm. I got the last bit of it so it's on the cardboard roll. Went to b&q and bought a wardrobe pole and two hangers for under £10. I just glued one end of the fabric to the cardboard roll and put it up and down as I need it.
