I focus hyperfocally using live view. I use prime lenses so it helps a bit and the DOF markings on the lens help as well. I zoom in to maximium on the live view screen and focus the lens to an area along the bottom edge of the screen, usually centre but not always. This would be different of...

When I go I park in the layby outside the campsite (free) and walk in. In the winter the gates get locked at 4pm and every time I go I see that somebody has failed to read the signs and then has to pay £20 to get someone to come and unlock the gate. It takes about 15mins to walk to the beach...

I've got the RRS BH-55, I can't fault it in anyway. Also bought the adapter foot for the 70-200 and a pano rail and a few other bits. It does cost a small fortune but I am from the "buy it once" school of thought. It is fantastically engineered and well made, you kind of forget about it...

In the last week I have ordered and received a Nikkor 70-200 VRII (£1630 ish) with a Nikkor 1.4x TC (£379), a Lee Big Stopper (£100), a Blackrapid RS4 camera strap (£56) ... All sold by WEX and probably would have been with them too. In the competitive market place people will not put up...

I have used WEX a number of times, most recently to buy a very expensive Gitzo tripod. For what it is worth I will never shop with WEX again due to the way they have handled this. I will be buying a 70-200 VRII Nikkor lens this week and 1.4X Teleconverter as being asked about in this thread...
