Anyone here make their own music?...synthensizers, oh dear

Prophet 12 is a new synth, not part of the old Sequential Circuits line (there was a Prophet 10 but that was a dual keyboard thing). You don't need a computer, plug it into an amp and have a good play with the knobs, you'll have hours of fun.

    Grease Live, did you watch?

Yeah I watched it, put it on for the ladies of the house but ended up watching the whole thing, it was entertaining, if slightly annoying when the extras were obviously looking at the cameras and monitors.

    Glasgow Bin Lorry crash

It seems to happen in every case where someone has killed somebody with a vehicle through incompetence. They just don't seem able to acknowledge that they've done anything wrong, at all, and they shouldn't be punished and carry on as normal. Get a ban? doesn't matter, I'll ignore it I haven't...

    Turntable recommendations!

I had a Revolver Rebel which was like that. The belts used to go slack after a few years and then the motor started making a knocking noise and I couldn't find a replacement so I binned it. Kept the arm though. Made the mistake of buying a cheap USB turntable but there's no anti-skate so it...

    Fargo

Great opener, although Nick Offerman cracks me up even doing serious stuff, not sure that's supposed to happen. Great to see Brad Garrett too.

    Staight Outta Compton

Interestingly I just watched a watchmojo YT video for the top 10 most important Hip Hop albums and it only came in at number 5 or so. 36 Chambers was No 1.

    Multi tools that work

Not necesserily, I've got a Gerber which Homebase were selling off half price after one christmas, £25 I think, and a Leatherman which was on special offer at Millets something like half price and on a store-wide buy 2 get 1 free so we got 2 as presents and kept one. Keep an eye out for special...

How to liven up a meeting.....

Bah!, too intellectual for me. Releasing a Honey Badger is enough to liven up many a boring meeting.

    Le Tour de France 2015

I'll probably watch it intermittently. I used to watch it all the time when I was unmarried, saving my holidays so I could sit at home and watch the entire mountain stages. But nowadays I've got to use my holidays for, well, holidays. There were a few I remember clearly includiing the fateful...

    Three Queens in Liverpool 2015

It must have had some planning so the various helicopters knew where to get out of the way. They almost caught me by surprise it was only other people pointing that showed me where to look but I managed to get a couple of decent shots. Big LR session tonight to sort out the wheat from the...
