Anyone know why the thunbnails do not appear after download using Nikon transfer, they did the first time I used the camera but not since (D300 or D200) , I just get rectangles with an Adobe icon inside. Regards Carl

Thanks for the replys, I did download an Adobe DNG converter not sure if it was the right one, I will give it a another go.

I have just bought a Nikon D300 and couldnt open the RAW files in either Photoshop CS or Nikon Capture, so I downloaded an Adobe program to covert the files (into what I dont know) a bit time cosuming but it worked, now for some unknown reason I dont get any thumbnails when I use Nikon Transfer...

After taking shots of gannets on a windy cliff, the lens had a film of salt on it from the spray, would rather clean a £50 filter than a £1000 lens. Best way to scratch a lens is to keep cleaning it. Surely a quality filter is up to the job?

Dust, finger prints, water splashes, etc, I dont want to have to clean the lens itself.

I need a filter on the front of my Nikon 70-200mm f2.8. I tried a Hoya UV green series but this had a noticeable effect on image quality. What protection filter can anybody recommend that will have no effect on the image? I have thought about Nikons own, B&W or Hoya Pro series.

Only tested handheld, you can tell the image has moved its in a slightly different place when the mirror returns. Glad I am not the only one who is not too impressed, as I am looking for a longer lens I probably wont bother with VR now and can save a few pennies! P.S desantnik how does the...

Just bought a Nikon 70-200mm, my first VR lens. I get better results with the VR switched off, when its on most of the images are soft no matter what shutter speed I use. I tried a friends Sigma 170-500mm OS and had the same problem. With both lenses the pictures have noticable camera shake...
