I bought a D5500. Regarding grey imports: Much of my kit comes from overseas, I travel alot and bring stuff home all the time, it's a risk I'm prepared to take, never had a problem and if I did I'd deal with it - glass half full and all that. I'm very pleased.

    Eye-Fi vs. Wi-Fi

Thanks for your reply, although a review would appear to show the Nikon solution is way more complicated than Eye-Fi, which by comparison is really dead simple! Regards,

    Eye-Fi vs. Wi-Fi

I currently have Eye-Fi installed on my P510 and it works really well. I don't know if the current Wi-Fi enabled Nikon's (D5300 in particular) offers the same functionality? Does anyone know if the D5300 allows transfer of images to the PC (like Eye-Fi does), or does it only transfer to...

    Nikon P510

Well I opted for the P510 and after just a short period of ownership I know I'm gonna love it. The reason I swapped from the Canon was for the continuous mode (which is excellent) and for geotagging (personal choice). I have to say however that having owned both the Canon (SX) and the...

When will Canon geotag a bridge?

I travel alot with work and want to display my memories along with their locations on a global map. Otherwise I agree, little point in geotagging any photographs when you know they are all taken in the same location

When will Canon geotag a bridge?

On reflection, does anyone have a eye-fi geotagging that works? A quick Google search throws up loads of disappointed users.

When will Canon geotag a bridge?

That is a great suggestion, but something me just wants a fully integrated solution so the Nikon has it at the moment.

When will Canon geotag a bridge?

I'm in the market for a high end bridge and had virtually made mind mind set on Nikon P510 principally as I really want geotagging but following a converstaion today, I am now not so sure given the advice that the SX40HS is a better camera (overall) than the P510, but the deal breaker is gps...

    EyeFi Geotagging

Thanks, that is an interesting link. On reflection I think I will use a bog standard SD card. Out of interest, I wonder if Eye-Fi a popular add on for many users?

    EyeFi Geotagging

Hi, Being new to the modern photography scene I would be grateful for some advice relating to EyeFi technolgy. When my new Nikon P510 arives I want to use its geotagging facility but am unsure whether a special EyeFi card is necessary, or whether a normal EyeFi card will store and transfer...

    Nikon P510

Thanks for that. I wanted the Nikon when I bought the Canon but the salesman swayed me, and quite rightly at that time. However, today, in my opinion the Nikon 510 has the edge on the SX40HS primarily because of the geotagging facility, something which I'm led to believe is a long way off...

    Nikon P510

Hi, I am in the market for an upgrade for my trusty SX20is and was ready to buy an SX40HS but have just seen the Nikon P510 - wow, what a spec, along with geotagging as standard, just superb. Has anyone seen one yet, or have any comments to add? Thanks in advance, and by the way, thanks...
