Thanks for the info guys, my question could of been directed differently i suppose........ but it was aimed more at WHY you guys changed from the 400D and what reason. A few seem to have gone with the 40D and 50D's which i something to keep in mind personally.

I own a Canon 400D at the moment, if you owned this what would you upgrade too and why ? Thanks Scud

Great just spent 50 notes on a new one, can i ask why ? I thought if i was to set up and focus on the bend as they come into beckets i think, then maybe i could catch some shots on the tripod.

These are a couple of shots from monaco with the 55-250 IS, not really sure if the IS can be turned off. I have bought a velbon tripod today from jessops, think im gonna need to find a good spot at silverstone :lol: Would i benifit from using a remote ? These shot were done around...

Ive recently bought a tokina 80-400mm lens ready for silverstone next week, the problem i got is ive been using the canon 55-250 IS and the new lens doesnt have any IS at all. Can anyone give me a little advice on taking shots without the IS, the tokina seems ok but isnt as fast with the AF...

Hi guys Ive decieded to go on the lookout for a second hand lens, ive not really been happy with the Canon 55-250mm IS for shooting motorsport im always wanting to get in further. These are my options at the moment : go with a TC but would this sacrifice image quality ? other than that...

With regards to the SIGMA 135-400mm f/4.5-5.6 APO DG, does anyone have any pros and cons, also a few picture examples ? I went to monaco this month for the grand prix and with my lens i couldnt get in far enough with the 55-250mm IS, would a convertor be an option ? Thanks Martin

I know what you mean Jim, i will give it a try without the IS or try cranking it up before hand.
