This is probably a stupid question, but what's the difference between that lens and this one, Nikkor 35mm f1.8 that's been on-sale for a while?

It's a challenge! I've just failed at a load of macros I was trying to capture this evening and I'm really ******ed about it, but I'll try again and again until I achieve what I'm after. It's really frustrating, sure, but that's the fun of it!

Hey! I'm Coventry too, in Hillfields, and I totally agree there isn't much wildlife around here!! I've got a D3100, still very new to photography. Thanks for mentioning these Matthew, I'm relatively new to Cov, and not sure what's out there, but I'd been hoping there was an apiary nearby. :)

I got my DSLR in March, and held out using RAW until June, when I took the plunge, and it's the best thing I did. I'm not brilliant with my white balance and exposure comp yet, and using RAW gives me a lot of wiggle room if I make errors with either. It takes a bit more effort in PP than if...

I've been to several concerts in the last few years (granted before I bought my Nikon) and I've never had a bag searched or been told to stop. I'm off there to see Gloria Estefan (!) in a few months and the Nikon is definitely coming!

I do like the new layout although it seems quite similar to how Facebook and Google are displaying photos now. I dunno why there's been a migration to black backgrounds, but it doesn't bother me. My only gripe is that I like to look at Exif data, and that now involves an extra click per photo...

Dunno about proper courses, but have you looked through the Tutorials sections here? The articles there have some great information that i feel has helped me.

This is probably a stupid question, but I'm a Flickr noob, but when you embed a picture here or on another forum for instance, does the number of people viewing the pic in the thread increase the views or does the viewer have to view it exclusively in Flickr?
