Cammo gear, never use the stuff. I might think of taking a bed to the hill though! It was good to see you & the boss again.

I think I know that Blackbird! Interesting to see the results you are getting with that wee camera................................. even though you were in bed!!

Dinae forget a flashing beacon, to warn the snowplough crew that you are stuck in a drift. Seriously though, the days are short in November so be prepared for long dark nights in your vehicle.

    Risk assessment

I kinda agree with you. Iwas shadowed by a HSE Inspector weekly for 4 months. I argued the common sense angle, he denied such a thing existed & insisted I call it a risk assessment! I also argued that someone like him who had never set foot on a timber felling operation, could not be qualified...

    Risk assessment

That's about it! We had a winch operator killed when his winch tower hit a 33KVA power line. From that HSE & Scottish Electric said in future getting a shut down would be no problem. I asked for a shut down on the same power line a month later & was told the line was more important than...

    Otter numbers

You may well be on the right track. I have lost contact with any local Eel fishers (if there are any left) so cannot get any numbers. I too used to fish almost every evening & at least one afternoon in the weekend. One day, I just lost the notion & have never fished since. Looking for...

    Sciatica....

Thanks. I have taken a note of the site. A working lifetime in forestry/sawmills has taken its toll. I would do it all again though.:D

    Sciatica....

Is that a 'One size fits all' ? I ask as I assume the female model is a bit narrower than me!:D

    Sciatica....

Acupuncture with electric current down the needles works wonders for me. I do a lot of falling over on the left leg. Happens without warning. Makes life 'fun' with a chainsaw in my hand!:lol:

    please feed the birds

Sorry, I will try to improve my English! I do not fill feeders at night as there is always the chance that Rats will find/empty them before the birds get to them.
