    Mishaps on location.

Got cut off at Porthcurno, climbed the cliff, half way up, ohhhhh that would make a nice shot! Wriggle onto a ledge about as wide as a kerb stone, compose shot, slip, end up hanging by one hand with my back to the cliff and the other holding the camera. ***Dilemma*** Hung for about 30 seconds...

    Odd text problem in photoshop

FYI the "P" in Rat Pack is missing also.

    Back ground fix

Not the easiest due to the background not being evenly lit. If you wanted to keep all four girls in then i would suggest cropping a lot closer then you only have to deal with the top half of the left hand side using the clone tool. You could only include girls 2, 3 &4, thus getting rid of the...

    Green Screen Edit Help

As above, it needs to be crease free, taught and pull your subject a bit further forward to avoid problem shadows on the bg. The background needs to be evenly lit to enable any software not to have a hissy fit and the last thing - i've found that paper is better than fabric for chromakey stuff.

How long do you spend in post processing?

I suppose it depends on how far away the original image is to what you want it to be. Some shots will take me a few minutes, others i can spend hours on, for example if the model wants retouching. Other times that i have spent hours on a photo is when taking long exposure panoramas - the sea...

    Why timelapse photography?

Ok so all of the above makes sense and answers a lot of the questions that i originally asked. Here's the video that aroused my curiosity in the first place. For the people in the know, how long was the gap between each shot do you reckon? http://vimeo.com/62980495

    Why timelapse photography?

Thanks for your comments guys. The way i see it it must be continuous shooting so that the video is smooth. Why not just use a digital video camera and speed it up?

What processing technique is this please?

Send them a Flickr mail and ask? A lot of photographers aren't the secretive type that we all expect them to be, some will openly tell you their processing technique.

    Portrait help with limited kit.

You can make reflectors from anything. Cover cardboard in tinfoil or paint it white. In the past ive painted doors white to use as full length reflectors - ok so this wasn't the original plan but i found them very good.

    Why timelapse photography?

Ok so i'm going to start by saying that this is a genuine question that i can't figure the answer to and i'd appreciate it if someone could educate me. What is the point of timelapse photography? I mean wouldn't it be a lot easier to use a video camera or am i missing something here? Are...

    Dual Camera Shoot

f/2.8 or lower would have been suggested due to needing the extra light to allow a faster shutter speed i would imagine. I cannot imagine why f/2.8 would have a massive advantage over say f/5.6 or f/8 unless you wanted to blur the background. Having shot football, i have learnt the hard way...

    Dual Camera Shoot

Using 2 cameras is manageable but takes a bit of care. Firstly i wouldn't personally use the 18-135 on the second camera as the upper end of this range is covered by the 70-200, use the 11-16 instead. Secondly i normally put the cameras on different sides of my body, this way there is less...

    Just bought a Wacom Bamboo

I've had a intuos 4 for a while now but i started with the bamboo and it was a nightmare converting to a pen and tablet but i forced myself to use it for everything i would normally use a mouse for instead of just the times that i was editing photos. After a week or so i found it much easier.
