I am thinking of buying a Canon RP and am planning to part exchange some equipment. I plan to exchange exchange a compact Canon and a Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM Lens for the RP and buy an older model Canon 100-40. Would buying an extender work on the 70-200? All help welcome.

I had it in the back of my mind that I might look for a change from my 50D and was looking at the Canon 7D. There seem to be a lot for sale on here and I was wondering why so many people are selling them or are there no more ads than for other models but I am not interested (read cant afford)...
