    Damien Lovegrove VS Mark Cleghorn.

In response to your PM, definitely a good book for up-and-coming professional like yourself, I think you will take a lot from it. Plenty of reviews on Amazon if you want other's opinions though.

    Damien Lovegrove VS Mark Cleghorn.

Hi Gary, I've read both and much preferred Cleghorn's offering, would definitely recommend that you pick it up, it contains much less ego and much more substance IMHO.

    Perseids Meteor Shower tonight......12th Aug

You're focusing at infinity anyway so no need for a small aperture for DOF. You just want to capture as much light from those stars as possible.

    Perseids Meteor Shower tonight......12th Aug

I'm no expert but I think it's just a question of getting somewhere with as little light pollution as possible (I used this Google Earth overlay to find the best spot) and then letting in as much light as possible. The settings that worked for me on a D700 were f/2.8, ISO800 and a 30s exposure.

US Soldier Charged with Leaking Video of Reuters' Photographer Being Killed

Add me to the list of people confused about Rob's apparent change of opinion. I'm not going to chip in as I said most of what I wanted to say in the previous thread. One thing I didn't get to share before it was closed though was the following link...

    Blurb Photobooks...

Did you use a calibrated monitor? Mine came out fine, was really impressed. Premium paper though

    Local Newspaper

Scott, it's not a question of censorship, it's a question of respect for Julian. It's fantastic that this has happened but it would be foolish to ignore the fact that the situation has the potential to cause a lot of stress and pressure.

CRAP, I think I've bricked my iPhone

OK, I'm guessing your iPhone will now have been updated to OS 3.1.3 - that's bad news I'm afraid because on an iPhone 3G that means your baseband will have been upgraded to 05.12.01 - which is not unlockable at present. With unlocked iPhones it is always advisable to decline software updates...

CRAP, I think I've bricked my iPhone

Andy, don't worry I'm sure it isn't bricked, will just need unlocking again. First of all, which iPhone model is it?
