    your top three lenses are???

    My ef-converted 1968 Canon 55mm f/1.2 FL - it's a bit special Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 IS II - probably me most used lens Canon 85mm f/1.8 - an incredible lens!

Canon 85mm Prime (non L). Thoughts?

The Canon f/1.8 (the one you're referring too?), is my favourite lens for portraits by far. It's pin sharp, with great bokeh. I've used the f/1.2, and it is a set up, but for the price difference, I wouldn't consider it. On a similar note, the difference between the 50mm f1.4 and the L f/1.2 is...

    Monza Race Track Advice?

Hi Bob, I've been a few times but as an accredited photographer. However having said that, the best photo I got last year was of the podium, and I stood amongst the fans, so that would be achievable if you went. This is also worth a read...

    Media Accreditation

I agree with DazJW; find motorsport that happens away from racetracks and you'll have better chances of getting either a) Accreditation, or b) close enough to the action that you can shoot what you want from the public areas. I did moto-X (Canada Heights is my nearest track), and its great for...

Is my kit suitable for Brands Hatch?

I would say with the right lens range you'll be fine at Brands Hatch, there's plenty of places to get close, and even with the telephoto shots you don't need a ridiculously long lens to get great shots.

    Fill flash in strong sunlight?

The Strobist101 blog is great, here's the post you need to have a read of: http://www.strobist.blogspot.co.uk/2008/01/control-your-world-with-ultra-high-sync.html All though the whole site is well worth going through. Most of the portrait shoots I have to do are in hot, bright countries, but...

First play with the new camera + lens

Don't think there is any flash in there. The subject is looking upwards towards the sky, which is probably why he looks a bit more flashed. Great shots by the way!

    Off-Camera High-Speed Flash Sync

Sorry Phil, I overlooked that again. I bought a set of YN 622s this afternoon, but I might get a TTl cable as a handy back up.

    Off-Camera High-Speed Flash Sync

Awesome thanks for all your help guys, looks like I'll be getting a set of YN 622s. I'm surprised that HSS can't be achieved off-camera via a wired means, I would have thought that came before radio triggers! Thanks again, Sam

    Off-Camera High-Speed Flash Sync

Thank you Phil, that trigger system is far more reasonable priced! And thanks George, if its works with Nikon they're must be a similar solution for Canon.

    Off-Camera High-Speed Flash Sync

Hi All, I'm trying to find a way of achieving high-speed flash sync, off camera, and without buying super-expensive pocket wizards. I know I can achieve high-speed sync by fitting the flash onto the camera hot shoe, so my question is: Can I use a PC or TTl sync cord an get the same response...

If you could shoot any motorsport event...

Isle of Man TT for me! Although I'll be doing Monaco this year, which should be pretty special
