I always haggle...
Go in with an idea of what the best online price is, have an idea what the convenience of a shop/uk warranty is worth to you, have a chat with them and see how helpful they are... And make a decision based on that.. But if haggling hard you must be prepared to walk away...
Hoping someone can help with this.. Decided to tidy up my 1d3 as the rubber grips were unstuck/worn out in places.. Have managed to do them all easily with one exception, the memory card door rubber... You can only buy the whole door assembly and I cant for the life of me work out how to take it...
Good morning,
Just wondering what my option are for focusing screens for my 5dII? Have seen the canon options but what are the non Canon ones like? Anyone use a non canon one?
Quite fancy the idea of a split focus one..
Thanks in advance,
Sam
#4 is a great shot :)
Get out there, take photos, look at them and understand why some didnt work is the best way of learning when you first start out. You will make mistakes, but thats half the fun!

My old 50d had 11k actuations in the year and a half I owned it.. Not afraid of taking it out!
Now I have a 5dII I find myself thinking that I shoudlnt take it out incase something happens to it.. Not a good attitude..
Make sure its fully covered on your insurance for all risks, dont worry...
Impressed with the portfolio so far, although I would like some control over the CSS used. The addition of purchases from the portfolio cannot happen soon enough IMO.

Full set of tubes and a canon 100mm macro lens, giving around 2:1
Bee Extreme Closeup by Sam_catch, on Flickr
Off camera flash (using an extension chord) and a big diffuser (well, big for macro... Roughly A4 sized).
F11.0 1/250th ISO 100 on a crop camera (50d)
Not cropped.
Getting enough...
Sorry to hear of your loss.. Some people cant help themselves. :(
Is there anywhere you can register the serials of stolen photography kit? Be good being able to do a check on serials before buying... Bit like the HPI checks you do on cars.
