    D70 / D70s

I believe the metering is different, the D70 meters using a 1005 pixel sensor, where as the D80 uses a 420 pixel sensor. Which I believe means the D70 has more information from the extra pixel count of it's sensor to ascertain the correct exposure than the D80.

    Anybody else race RC cars?

Yes I'd noticed that they are gaining in value, but mine are definitly 'used' from what I recall  At the moment I'm rather busy at home to even think of digging them out, let alone thinking about taking it up again.......besides, a few more years down the line may add a few more £'s :D

    Anybody else race RC cars?

Fond memories indeed :) Used to race 1/10th back in the late 80's. Started with a Tamiya Rough rider (they're worth quite a bit now I hear). Moved to a Hotshot, then ended with an Associated RC10 .....still got them in the loft somewhere

Just signed up for my PADI course

We retired at the end of 2008 so I guess it's unlikely you'll see it there again. In the later years when ever we had trips to the Channel Isles we spent most of the time off Jersey & St. Malo. The diving is better & I'm afraid to say that the harbour authority in Gurnsey weren't that helpful if...

    Crazy on the roads today!

I think you've taken my point out of context. The problem we have here isn't that the council don't grit the roads, they do. But our road is a minor one that a gritting lorry would be unable to navigate. As I said, we Did have a grit bin in the road, but when the road was resurfaced it was...

    Crazy on the roads today!

That's nothing to do with the point I was making which was that we already pay for gritting. Surely the local aurthority has a duty of care to the people......it's customers. If I/we are to have to start paying for everything in the street then there's going to have to be a reducion in taxes.

    Crazy on the roads today!

True, but why should I/we? Surely this is something that should be provided by the local aurthority/council? .......in fact it used to until recently!!!

    Crazy on the roads today!

The road I live on is just wide enough for two cars to pass each other with about 6 inches or so to spare either side, & as you go down the road it starts a gradually steepening decent with a left hand bend at the bottom. Because of this, & that it's not a major road, the gritting lorry can't...

D300 Owners Thread - Anything related to the D300!

Only had mine since March/April time & haven't really used it that much, been too busy :'( But what little I have used it, I've been very, very impressed :D I'd agree to some extent, but it's no where near as bad as my previous D80 was for overexposing. I upgraded from a D70 to the D80 & was...
