APS-C 70mm equivalent would be approximately 105mm. I've seen on a YouTube review that Sigma Art 50mm lens is actually somewhere closer to real 48.5mm focal length. I think 24-70mm focal length could be an approximation too at certain zoom levels. My guess is - works as intended.

I find it perfect to fine tune landscape pictures when sky is overexposed. Though would wish to learn how to use it better in portraits.

Unlikely. It will not be seen on images in any way. Though it could make lens more prove to flare (not to certain about this). Lens hood would be good help.

I don't think you can get any better than amazon when it comes to SD cards. As for batteries I would only use whatever Canon recommends.

Congratulations to all acquiring this piece of equipment. I've been using this camera for just around two years and I have got nothing but praise for it. It has been very high up the mountains, very deep underground never once did it fail me. Wouldn't change it for anything :)
