    LR Saturation Problem

Embedded is what's used for JPEG files, not RAW. You'll need to change the profile on the camera (which is limited to Adobe RGB or sRGB only).

    Paypal Content Subscription IPN

Don't know, I don't use PHP. What you need is a form containing all the necessary variables that is submitted by the user, which then takes them to paypal to enter their details. When this is complete, paypals servers call a script/page on your website that you can use to automate emails etc...

    Paypal Content Subscription IPN

Lookup callback notification in the paypal developers documentation in their site. I use it for processing payments for orders on my site and so far no problems.

    First DSLR - 40D

Welcome, excellent choice of camera if you ask me  Well, you won't be needing the high FPS of the 40d for motorsport, but you will be needing a longer lens, something like a 70-300mm although it will depend on what type of motorsport you'll be shooting.

    What is your favourite lens??

Another vote for the canon 70-200mm f/2.8. Rarely off my camera.

Oh great. Better exposed badly composed images cluttering up myfacebo.

    batch edit EXIF of CR2's & NEF's

Well, it's a bit long winded, but if you change your catalogue settings to write to xmp you'll get an additional xmp file for each file in the catalogue. If you open these files in notepad you can then manually edit the date/time for the image. Not exactly ideal I'll admit.

    batch edit EXIF of CR2's & NEF's

Yes. Library module > metadata menu > edit capture time.

    batch edit EXIF of CR2's & NEF's

Lightroom can edit the capture time, but the smallest unit it can adjust the time by is an hour.

    LightRoom 2

Not entirely sure where it may have gone, but you can always press "b" on your keyboard to add/remove images from the quick collection

    LR Saturation Problem

In the develop module, open the Develop menu and select the "Set default settings" option. Bear in mind this will apply ALL settings of whatever image you've got open, not just the calibration options. When importing new images, make sure you select "None" in the develop settings otherwise...

    LR Saturation Problem

The colour shift that you're seeing is a fairly common issue with raw files. Most digital imaging equipment has problems capturing reds accurately, it does vary between manufacturers and camera models though. Most manufacturers software is developed to compensate for this, both in the camera...

    Do I need L lenses?

No, stay well clear of them. I bought one, and am about to get another. It's a dirty, dirty habbit. If you're only taking pics for your own pleasure and are happy with what you're acheiving then no, you don't need them. If like me though you found that your kit is struggling to get the...

    Canon 400D...my first DSLR.

For £250 it doesn't matter what anything thinks, that's a right bargain!
