Jessops on the verge of administration

Speaking as someone who worked for a small independent Photographic retailer from 1994 until 2006, the seeds of todays closure go back to the early millennium. Back then they were a recognised and trusted brand with an extensive chain of stores across the country. But the management back then...

    mpbphotographic Query

More than fair. Yeah I could maybe have made a bit more with a lucky eBay bidding war but when compared to the hassle that might've come with that route I was more than happy with what they offered. Patient too as I sometimes ummed and ahhed for a bit after getting their quotes !

    Where to buy used gear

Another vote for MPB here. Upgraded all my glass to L standard through buying and selling through them. Have used Mifsuds too in the past without issue.

God god yes ! I won't buy used gear anywhere else after having bought and sold to them. Top, top company. Professional courier pick up and delivery, payment in usual timescale for a bank transfer. Faultless.

    Need Help!

Exactly. High ISO stuff can have issues but it's pretty rare. Travelling there and back through a modern airport with modern scanners isn't going to have any effect. http://underwaterphotos.com/Filmsafe.htm However if you was embarking on a round the world trip with multiple flights then be...

Lens count how many is too many

I streamlined my kit since getting my 5D Mk III in order to do the body justice, part-exing some Sigma and non L Canon glass on the way. I'm now down to Canon 8-15mm L, 17-40mm L, 24-105mm L, 100-400mm L, 85mm f1.8 and a Tamron 90mm Macro Di. Future buys will probably be limited to a Canon...

ThinkTank lens pouches - calling current users !

Evening all, I'm looking to invest in a belt & pouch system for carrying lenses and I was hoping to find some 'real world' users who could advise on what they use rather than relying on website specs. I'm looking to contain each of the following in various combinations: Canon 24-105mm...
