    Starting with a DSLR such as a Canon 400D as well as a Speedlite 430Ex/580Ex, would be the best starting point, insurance through someone such as photoguard would be relatively cheap as the value of the kit isn't very high. Checking out somewhere light Dontstayin would be recommended as well...
