This is how I see things as it stands. Water can not be destroyed or created! Ok pipes leak but this goes back into the ground and finds its way back into the natural water course the same way rain does when it hits the ground, so its in a cycle that ends up in the rivers and reservoirs.

I'm using a Metz 45 cl 4 non digital on my Nikon D200 with the hotshoe adapter all set fully manual with no problems and a friend of mine uses a 60 ct 4 on a canon 7d again with no issues.
The only flash that I know of with enough output for what you are trying to do would be Metz hammer heads. I use a 45cl4 for night time rallying and can get 2 shots off set at half power on the same car.
