    Alternatively, Canon run some excellent photographic courses, for all levels of folk. It's a lot easier to be shown how to do something, than read from a book, esp in the early days. Check out their website for details

    P.S. There are, for want of a better word, strap on tank bags available, rather than the magnetic types. Model specific from Triumph, or general purpose from the usual sources.

    Obviously, I'd recommend the 1050ST. I carry the camera body and a short zoom, in my tankbag, for those 'bike in front of a stunning view' type shots. The top box is water-proof, for any other gear, but if you're travelling 2-up, does the other half know that she's giving up clothes space ??

    I've only done a couple of weddings, generally when I've been bullied into it by 'mates' I did find a cable release handy for those group shots. If folk don't know exactly when you're taking shots, they are more natural, and by watching the group you'll more easily spot the inevitable clown...
