Ditched my 5D Mark II setup and i've moved to an X Pro 1 as i'm going to be travelling alot, grabbed it with the 35mm for a great deal. Hugely impressed so far, what are opinions on the 18mm?

Slow Syncs are amateur hour. Shoot at over 1/100th, dont even 2nd curtain, run a low aperture and get wide as possible. Dont put up unflattering regular photos, it just makes you unpopular.

Being asked to work on awful images is my nightmare, It often happens when i shoot sports etc.

the 50D is better, i've tried a few D90's and was unimpressed.

Im definately feeling the D700, The majority of my work is going to be shows so low light is absolutely key, but being able to produce massive prints isnt really such an issue, 12mp will be plenty. Video also isnt much of a big for me, i dont plan on going into video to any great extent. lens...

Im currently shooting on a 40D that has far oustayed its welcome. From september i'll be going full time as a tog and am planning to upgrade to a 5Dii or a D700. I have a relatively large amount of Canon gear (17-40,70-200,2x 430EX etc) but am willing to sell off the lot to move over to the D700...
