Yep I'm with Matt here - did quite a bit last year, didn't get a permit, but moved around all the time, didn't bring too much attention to myself either. Try it and if you get stopped then apply for the permit - you might be able to save yourself £35 - oh and be able to post on the internet !!!

Yep I did a 10 week OU T189 course for which I got a student enrolment letter - that was enough to get student discount on both CS3 and Lightroom - quite a saving as I remember. Just sent a copy of the letter off and that was enough.

How about the OU T189 course - its 10 weeks long - fairly cheap especially if you use tecso clubcard vouchers and is pretty ok as long as you're not too much of a pro. I know quite a lot of people on here have been through it. Do a search on T189, or have a look on Flickr for T189 groups

Its interesting becuase in the EXIF ISO L1.0 does show up as ISO100. I use it a lot to reduce the speed as much as possible ie F29 ISO L1.0 when using ND110 or ND8 in daylight. Didn't know it was faked or affected dynamic range - will need to compare two shots one at say ISO 200 F25 and one at...
